I am sitting in the morning At the diner on the corner

난 아침에 길모퉁이에 있는 그 레스토랑에 앉아 있어요

I am waiting at the counter For the man to pour the coffee

바 카운터에 앉아 그가 커피를 따라 주길 기다려요

And he fills it only halfway

He is looking out the window At somebody coming in

그는 이미 창밖을 응시하며 누군가 들어오는 걸 보고 있어요

Says the man behind the counter

그가 바 카운터 뒤에서 말해요

To the woman who has come in She is shaking her umbrella

방금 들어와서 우산을 털고 있는 그녀에게요

And I look the other way As they are kissing their hellos

난 그 둘이 볼에 입맞춤하며 인사할 때 다른 곳을 봐요

I'm pretending not to see them Instead, I pour the milk

그리고 난 그들을 안 보는 척하고 우유를 따라요

I open up the paper

신문을 펴보니

There's a story of an actor Who had died while he was drinking

술을 마시다가 죽은 한 남자 배우 기사가 있는데

It was no one I had heard of

전혀 모르는 배우예요

And I'm turning to the horoscope

그다음에 오늘의 운세를 펴고

And looking for the funnies

연재만화를 찾고 있는데

When I'm feeling someone watching me

그때 누가 나를 쳐다보는 것 같아서

And so I raise my head

고개를 들어요

There's a woman on the outside Looking inside,

밖에서 한 여자가 안을 들여다보고 있어요

does she see me?

나를 보는 걸까요?

No she does not really see me

아뇨, 날 보는 건 아닐 거예요

'Cause she sees her own reflection

유리에 비친 자신의 모습을 보는 것일 테니까요

And I'm trying not to notice That she's hitching up her skirt
